In the heart of the remote Carpathian mountains of Romania, four graduate students begin a journey of historical discovery. But one of them bears a secret which will unleash a force of unparalleled evil upon them, an evil that will take lives and which will change the survivors forever... In Bucharest, professor Adrian Craciun (Billy Zane) learns that one of four graduate students, about to enter Romania on a special study program, may be bringing with her an ancient artifact which could trigger a violent schism in a secret society of which they are both members. The group begins a two day 50 mile hiking trek to Poenari, a fortress built by the historical Vlad Tepes. The artifact that one brought on the journey, a 15th century necklace, brings several frightening experiences and inner visions including a beautiful young women, (Iva hasperger) about to be captured by a menacing knight. She emerges from this vision and turns to Jeff for help as he awakens. When Jeff awakens later that morning the visions from the past are not over...for the next night the women's pursuer appears again. Adrian introduces the group to Ilie, a local Holy man (Guy Siner) and it becomes apparent that, miraculously, the pursuer is none other than Vlad Tepes Drakul (Francesco Quinn) himself, the final race for survival and understanding is on...you don't want to miss it! - Actors:
