Wagner: Siegfried: Staatsoper Stuttgart (2003)

Mime has brought Siegfried up. He means to use him to get hold of the ring, which has been guarded all this while by Fafner, who has not once used it, however. Siegfried pesters his foster-father to tell him about his real parents. Mime tells him at last about his mother, who took refuge in the forest and died giving birth to him. All she left him was a broken sword. The boy commands Mime to mend it.
