- Synopsis:
British Explorer Ed Stafford takes on the last great challenge in the world of global exploration, to be the first person to walk the entire length of the Amazon River. Walking for 860 days through some of the toughest terrain on the planet, Ed records his adventures on camera. We see him cross the inhospitable Andes mountain range, descend into the world's deepest valley and become lost in South America's vast Amazon rainforest. Over two and a half years Ed comes close to starvation, has to flee from murderous drug-traffickers, is attacked by suspicious tribespeople and contracts a flesh-eating tropical disease as he attempts to join the ranks of great British explorers. In the end Ed walks out of the jungle and into the history books when he conquers the world's largest river. - Actors:
