Synopsis:
The summer of 1937 in Bridgeport, Connecticut was a time of innocence and adventure for 12-year old Daniel Cooper and his 10-year old sister Sarah. It was the year that Sarah's friend Snowman, a brain-damaged veteran of World War I, was accused of murder. Believing him to be innocent, Sarah convinces her attorney father, Ed Cooper (Dean Jones), to defend Snowman - a decision that leads to an explosive courtroom drama.
