- Seven different stories, seven very different women and one incredibly talented actress. In the film that won her a Golden Globe, Hollywood star Shirley Maclaine portrays an amazing array of characters over a series of satirical vignettes tackling the universal subjects of love and adultery. These include a distraught widow dealing with amorous advances, a bored housewife becoming a hooker, suicidal lovers, naked poetry reading, psychotic socialites, and a chance encounter on public transport that leads to a bittersweet, poignant conclusion.

Dated silly rubbish - Woman Times Seven review by TW
Silly short stories that don't really work. I'm 1960's attempt at being quirky. Shirley MacLaine is marvellous as always , but the material isn't worthy of her.
