Synopsis:
The 'World Magic Awards' is a live two-hour television award show to be held at the Hollywood Palladium on September 13th at 6pm. It stars the best magicians from around the world who each will perform in their own award-winning category. The black-tie event, referred to as the Academy Awards of Magic. The 'World Magic Awards' will be awarded in twelve categories. Eleven Awards will be for the performer or performers considered by the committee to be the best in their category. "The Blackstone Award" will be presented to the person or persons judged to have contributed the most towards the performance, the preservation and the promotion of the art of magic around the world.
The show will be a fast-paced entertainment, performance-orientated special. A celebrity will present each winning act with their award. Segments of the show have already been shot in many locations around the world, including Egypt where Franz Harary disappeared the Sphinx for over two minutes in front of a live audience, hosted by film star Roger Moore. Segments have already been taped in England and Las Vegas.
