World War II: Lines and German Home Front

Documentary which focuses on the bombing raids made on towns and cities by both sides in the Second World War. As the work of civilians made it possible for the armies to fight, air raids became commonplace in well-populated areas. All the while, soldiers on the front line were more fierce and determined than ever. Split into four films, the documentary uses original photographs and footage from that era, along with reconstructions, to capture the hard work and strength shown by millions.
