The New Girlfriend
Oh dear
A couple of minutes in I suspected this was not going to be a masterpiece of cinema.
I am surprised some reviewers have regarded it seriously and even offered praise.
My opinion - dire. Sorry.
Birdman
Oh Dear
If you are hoping for a film to lose yourself in for a couple of hours look elsewhere. At least we didn't go to the cinema to see it.
A Man Called Ove
Wonderfully moving and often very funny
I haven't enjoyed a film as much as this for a long time. Ove is constantly frustrated in his efforts to escape his world without the woman he adored. His new neighbour changes everything.
The South
Good start but becomes tedious
We enjoyed probably the first half of this film but were disappointed as it became increasingly slow moving as it went on. It was almost two films in one package.
