I can well understand why some might find this movie slow or too long but unlike those who disliked that about the film, I liked the pace and felt it gave the story part of its charm and character. I thought the story evolved beautifully and contained elements any young person who's every been infatuated or obsessed by someone has experienced. For me, it gave the story authenticity and Timothee Chalamet did an excellent job of capturing Elio's developing confidence.
Had great expectations for this movie but watching it - sadly - they were unfulfilled.
I like Emily Blunt but found her 'dead-eyed' staring into the camera a bit repetitive and unconvincing.
Was able to guess 'who-done-it' before the character was 'exposed' which ultimately left me feeling disappointed that I was able to figure it out!
Am guessing 'A Quiet Place' will be a better one to watch when it becomes available!
