An interesting aspect to this documentary that I had failed to grasp is how long it took Bowie to make it in music. If hardly perfect, this is an entertaining look at one of the most influential musicians of all time.
What you get in this are some great interviews and lots of old footage and photos. It goes right back to when Bowie was running a folk club. It covers Bowie’s time with Feathers and mime artist Lindsey Kemp and his early hit “Over the Wall We Go" for ‘Oscar’. We learn how he was ripped off by his manager. The absence of original songs is pretty much my only quibble
