Murder on the Orient Express

Atrocious

(Edit) 19/06/2018

A Complete travesty of Agatha Christie, and vey sloppily executed in parts. Plus as usual the ugly spectre of cultural Marxism rears it's head, not like Hollywood is pushing an agenda or anything (yawn). Do yourself a favour and watch the 1974 version instead - it makes this looks like the utter trash it really is.

Annie Hall

Probably...

(Edit) 02/09/2017

Probably the most overrated movie of all time. Oh and Annie Hall is a euphemism for 'Any Hole' which gives you an idea what's on Woody Allen's mind.

The Lady Vanishes

Atrocious, but it looks good

(Edit) 02/09/2017

How anybody could have thought that they could completely reinvent a hitchcock movie without trashing it is beyond me. But here they manage it absolutely - all the suspense and drama of the original 1938 version is mercilessly expunged, leaving nothing but soap-like whining , tantrums and cardboard characters. Really, really bad. So do yourself a favour and rent the real thing - Hitch's 1938 classic is one of the best mystery movies ever made.

The Lady Vanishes

Hitchcock Classic before he left for Hollywood

(Edit) 02/09/2017

Proving that nobody does it like Hitchcock, this movie is a shining example of mystery and suspense without the need for gratuitous violence or other degeneracy so loved by the contemporary Hollywood scene. Those weaned on Tarantino will find it too tame - but lovers of such writers as Agatha Christie or Ngaio Marsh will have a lot of fun.
