It seems odd that this film didn't receive rave reviews at the box office. It was an outstanding film, with breath-taking dancing, excellent acting from everyone, lovely singing and the surreal sections were just brilliant. The film was wonderful at the cinema but stood up well to being shown at home on a DVD. It left the viewer feeling carefree and happy and very nostalgic when it came for the moment for Mary Poppins to ascend skywards again. There is nothing disappointing about the film and I would see it again and again.
