I hadn't heard of this movie so took a chance - I'm so glad I did. Exquisite acting, beautiful cinematography and a gentle but entertaining plot. Just delightful.

Good characters, good story and the two leads, Hathaway and De Niro, are on excellent form, with good chemistry. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We really enjoyed this series until the final two episodes, which are gratuitously violent and sickening, as MD days. The premise of the series is great and I don't know why it has to be made unwatchable by such explicit, lingering rape and torture scenes. We found it really disturbing and won't be watching any further, sadly.

Really wish I'd read the reviews above and not the nonsense printed in the press about this film before I rented it! I agree with everything above. Comedy? Don't make me laugh. Two hours of my life I'll never get back.
