I didn't find it at all funny. It had promise at the beginning but didn't deliver. I was disappointed. I felt that it lacked credibility.

This was an interesting film with a strong story. The acting was first class. I liked the honesty of it, in the way the principal character was porttrayed. It was overlong however to the point of tedium in some places.

I remember seeing Whistle Down the Wind when I was a teenager. I enjoyed watching it again. Black and white films can be great becuase they create a special atmosphere and this film is great. The acting is exceptional. The story is well told. Hayley Mills dis her best to acquire a Yorkshire accent - a difficult thing to do in those days. The was the actors spoke was the only thing that let the film down and that not very much.
