Castle Rock: Series 1

Totally implausible

I've no idea why the critics rated this so highly. Not only is the plot implausible, and the filming grim, but the constant time shifts make it very confusing. I usually don't mind time shifts, but combined with the other irritants, it was tedious. I've deleted the next 2 disks from my list.

Edge of the seat tension

The Unraveling

Disappointing ending

Reasonably enjoyable and slightly scary film, but honestly the ending is so banal, you feel you've been cheated. Don't waste your time on it!

Swiss Army Man

Quirky, hillarious, touching and memorable

Thoughly recommend this very original film. You wouldn't think that a corpse would take much acting, but Daniel Radcliffe is brilliant, and Paul Dano is a believable character in a very strange situation.

The Headless Woman

Disturbing but brilliant

This is film about guilt and denial, leading to a cover up, but what has she hit? The scenery is bleak but beautifully filmed. This is a very watchable film.

Slow moving but enthralling film. The main character and the other pilgrims are all well drawn and acted, but what are they expecting from the experience?
