When Eazy-E entered the music scene in 1988, no one could have predicted the impact that his presence would soon have. Without help from radio or commercial singles, he built a musical empire that would quickly produce a long string of top-selling albums, and introduced the world to such superstar acts as NWA, Dr. Dre, Kokane, and Bone Thugs n Harmony. Becoming one of the youngest executives to own and operate a record label, Eazy-E revolutionized not only the sound of urban rap music, but the business aspects that surrounded it as well. Then, on March 26th, 1995, almost without warning, the news came: the man who helped pioneer the sound of rap music on the west coast had died.
