- Synopsis:
Yojimbo (Toshirô Mifune), a ronin, is secretly commissioned to travel to Sanshu Pass. This once crucial thoroughfare in the time of the warlords is now just a backroad used by outcasts. There he is to wait, until an undisclosed event occurs. On his journey, he rescues a woman from her violent husband, and takes her away with him. They arrive at an inn, run by an old man and his granddaughter. This place has become home to a bunch of misfits, including a one-time physician (Shintarô Katsu), a wandering gambler, and an officer of the law together with his prisoner. A dramatic chain of events unfolds, forcing the once hostile and untrusting characters to unite in a common cause: their own survival. 'Ambush at Blood Pass' examines the complex nature of the human condition under pressure. - Actors:

Poor - Ambush at Blood Pass review by John's List
I ordered this film because I am a Toshirô Mifune fan and this is a film of his I had not seen, in fact I still have not seen it.
The quality of this film is so bad that the trailer here on this site is the best it is going to be, in fact it is such low quality it could pass for a bad pirated film.
The picture is so small on your screen that you need to be sitting right on top of your television to watch it and the audio sounds like two can's on a piece of string.

Nasty DVD - Ambush at Blood Pass review by NDC
Unfortunately appalling pixelated film quality, made even worse by needlessly Americanised subtitles full of exclamations like "Howdy" (!)
