Babeldom (2012)

Experimental animator and filmmaker Paul Bush ponders the future of cities in this 'science fiction documentary'. Utilising images collected from cities around the globe,along with those from the frontiers of today's technology,architecture and science,the director paints a portrait of a towering,imagined city of the future known as 'Babeldom'. Using a narrative of two lovers attempting to communicate - one from within the city,the other outside - the film poses a number of paradoxical questions about how our world is developing; whether,in our rush to achieve order from chaos,we are in fact creating an ever more chaotic world.
