Synopsis:
Using accurate reconstructions and re-enactments the Campaigns series brings alive the decisive moments from some of the most significant battles in British military history.

Bannockburn
1314, and in a mighty attempt to crush the Scots, King Edward II placed himself at the head of the largest English force ever assembled for an invasion of Scotland. Vastly outnumbered and facing almost certain defeat the Scots were rallied by their greatest medieval king Robert, known simply as 'The Bruce'. In Scotland's hour of need at a small stream within the sight of Stirling's castle 'The Bruce' risked all for victory: for victory at - the Bannockburn.
Culloden
More than 300 years later in April 1746 the tired and hungry men of the last Highland army made their final desperate charge against the well disciplined ranks of a professional British force. The result was almost a foregone conclusion - the defeat and utter ruin of the Jacobite cause forever. This was the last great battle to be fought on British soil, the battle that sounded the death knell for the highland clans; the battle of Culloden.
