The Best Of The Year's British Steam Railway Events, Galas And Anniversaries From Around The Nation! This unique video features all the biggest and best steam events in Britain, professionally filmed and packed with dramatic steam action. Many of the events featured are exclusive, and can only be seen on this disc! There's full coverage of 71000 "Duke of Gloucester" steaming for the first time in seven years on the East Lancs Railway and Lancaster & Yorkshire Railway no. 957 (BR no. 52044) running with vintage carriages over the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, plus a look at the opening of the Weardale Railway new Bishop's Auckland and the Avon Valley Railway's new extension to Avon Riverside. Guests on the Mid Hants Railway this year include 0-6-OST no. 813 from the Severn Valley, 0-6-0 Terrier "Knowle" from the Kent and East Sussex, LSWR 2-4-0 well tank no. 30587 from Bodmin and Prairie tank no. 5541 from Dean Forest - and there's also plenty of action from the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway, the West Somerset Railway, Bodmin and Wenford and South Devon Railway.
