Now in it's 48th year, the competition has become one of motorsport's biggest success stories, and the most popular four-wheeled format in the UK. This jam-packed four hour official season review is loaded bumper-to-bumper with all the high-drama typical of the BTCC, with big teams like Halfords, SEAT Sport, VX Racing and Team RAC looming large with some incredibly competitive machines. Both Jason Plato and Colin Turkington retained a mathematical chance of stealing Matt Neal's crown up until the very last stage of Silverstone. The scene was set for the cream of touring car talent to deliver the exciting end to the season every tin-top was anticipating. Neal triumphed, taking the first successive BTCC driver's title for almost a 20 years, but it was bittersweet - a suspension failure prevented him competing in the final race despite two years without any mechanical failure. In the manufactures' championship, Vauxhall's five years sovereign-seal was broken by SEAT after three years of trying; a new metal had taken over TOCA town. With highlights from Brands Hatch, Mondello Park, Oulton Park, Thruxton, Croft and Snetterton - plus extended highlights from two of the greatest BTCC races ever witnessed; the classic rounds at Knockhill and Donington Park!
