Welcome to the Trans-American Grand Prix where there are no rules, no judges and no loyalties. The name of the game is speed...and avoiding the cops! The only legit thing about this race is the $100,000 prize, and the determined drivers will do anything to get their hands on the cash. Among the drivers is veteran racer "Cannonball" Buckman (David Carradine) who battles it out against the villainous Cade Redman (Bill McKinney), who continually sabotages the race to guarantee things do not run smoothly. From Los Angeles to New York there is hilarious, non-stop action and reckless abandonment. The question is who will be the first across the finish line to be crowned "King of the Road Racers"?
