Just "ok" !! - Captivity review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
14/05/2008

This film is "just ok" and not sorry I watched it but thought it could have been better.

A young model is abducted and trapped in a room where she is mentally and physically tortured (the physical torture is not as bad as it sounds in the film description!!)

It was a good story but dragged a little in places and the twist is not unexpected. However, I thought the story was good. I felt it may have been better if filmed differently or the script was though out a little better. It seemed that the characters could have been looked into deeper - particularly the abductor. It did touch on his character's past and personality but was a little rushed at this point

If it's gore you want, there is a little but doesn’t come close to Saw or Hostel.

I thought it was ok and worth a watch if you have some spare time.

Above average horror thriller. - Captivity review by CP Customer

Spoiler Alert
16/05/2010

This is a well above average horror thriller which moves along at a decent pace. The film starts off as a Saw/Hostel style gory hostage movie, then takes a clever twist about half way through. The acting and production quality is pretty high for this type of film and overall Captivity is a well above average horror movie, and if you're a horror fan well worth a rental.
