Engrossing - The Senator review by JD
I was living and working in the USA in 1969 and remember the Chappaquiddick incident very well.
This movie reveals Ted Kennedy as being heartless ambitious and ruthless .
Very well acted ( scene stealer by Bruce Dern as Joe Kennedy) and almost unblelievable in the depiction of how Ted tries to get away with manslaughter and the sad death of Mary Joe.
Edge of the seat discussions on the planning of his defence and how he trie to con the American voter in accepting his lies.
