Sophia Loren stars as Marianna in this gripping drama about a mother whose son's life is being ravaged by his dependency on heroin and cocaine. With her back to the wall, Marianna vows to take desperate measures to save her family and crumbling home. She agrees to help the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration with a dangerous undercover operation to smash the drug ring that is destroying her son's life. Her reluctant-to-get-involved husband is beautifully played by Hector Elizondo and Billy Dee Williams gives a brilliant performance as the tough agent who becomes Marianna's ally. Sophia Loren shines as usual - Courage review by AP
Great movie, Sophia Loren convincingly plays the role of a mother trying to bring down a drug baron to save her son. A bit dated now as it was filmed over 30 years ago but worth for Sophia's performance alone.
