Interesting tale of how and why Barrie wrote Peter Pan - Finding Neverland review by CP Customer

Set in the early 1900's, this film examines Victorian attitudes and how those who don't live up to the expectations of others can be made to feel like social outcasts. This is done by recounting the relationship between Barrie, a recently widowed mother and her four young boys. He becomes a frequent playmate to the children, using the boys' imagination to take them on fantastic adventures, which turn into the Peter Pan story. He also becomes a friend and confidante to the frail Sylvia, a relationship which is much frowned upon by friends and family. The mother, played by Julie Christie, is particularly nasty. Kate Winslet is great value, as ever, and Johnnie Depp manages an admirable Scottish accent whilst playing a boy stuck in a man's body very well indeed.

Very enjoyable view of Neverland - Finding Neverland review by Gray

Living on my own I watch very specific films and TV programs. So I put this film on as an alternative to sitting and reading a book. I am very pleased that I decided to watch this film as I was drawn into the strange lifestyle of a creative author, where imagination and real life intertwined, causing his life to spiral into a tangled web of childhood dreams and the reality of a disintegrating marriage . I would definitely recommend this film that is loosely based on a true story.
