Extremely interesting - Finding Vivian Maier review by DB

Spoiler Alert
18/07/2018

Got this film due to a good review in Empire magazine. Very interesting film that builds from one person making a find and spreading out from there. The photographs that Vivian Maier took really are quite beautiful, showing street life in all it's forms. She makes for a fascinating character despite her foibles. If you enjoyed Searching for Sugarman you'll love this film as it has many parallels to that highly rated film. The main presenter guiding us through the story shows a genuine curiosity that sweeps you up and takes you along with the ride and is the driving force in uncovering the story behind the over 100,000 photos that were taken. Would recommend this film and at only 84 minutes long, doesn't feel like it has overstayed it's welcome.
