In 1957 the Ford car company authorized a live star-studded network television spectacular to give their new Edsel maximum publicity. Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby were hired with pals Rosemary Clooney, Louis Armstrong and a 'surprise' visit by Bob Hope.
