- The Streets of New York act as the backdrop for this gritty true to life gangster thriller, where trust and respect are taught but never counted on! Gangster No.1 Vincent Dianni (Danny Aiello) is one of the Mob's most loyal foot soldiers. He has always obeyed his Mafia bosses, no matter how vicious the jobs they give him. Vinnie decides to leave the underworld, but his employers are getting worried that he might rat them out, to salve his increasingly tortured conscience. The only answer is to arrange for him to be "taken out" by his young protege, Tommy (William Forsythe). But is Tommy ruthless enough to murder his best friend in cold blood?
