A jewel - Gone to Earth review by cs

A beautiful melodrama set in my South Shropshire homeland. Filmed in glorious technicolor and on location, so a rarity for the mid 50's. The atmosphere is just incredible although the accents are what could be described as geographically fluid. The dialect though is bang on. Even the old rural mineworkers are re-created.
