Rent Hakuoki (2010 - 2012)

Hakuoki is an anime series following a young woman, Chizuru Yukimura, as she goes in search of her missing father. Travelling to Kyoto disguised as a boy, Chizuru is saved from attack by some mysterious demons, who are then defeated by members of the Shinsengumi. On revealing her true identity, the Shinsengumi invite Chizuru to live with them, as they too are searching for her father. Unbeknownst her, he is the creator of a powerful and dangerous elixir: The Water of Life. As her journey unfolds, Chizuru discovers this and many other secrets about herself and her family.
