- Synopsis:
- Homeland is a tense and intense American drama that follows CIA agent Carried Mathison who, having been put on probation, is working for the Counterterrorism Centre of the CIA when reports of a marine who has been missing from action since 2003 has been rescued after eight years in al Qaeda captivity. Mathison, having previously been warned that an American prisoner of war has been turned, instigates her own surveillance operation, with the help of her mentor Saul Benerson, to monitor the behaviour of the now returned prisoner who is being heralded by most as a war hero.
