Synopsis:
"Hoppity Goes To Town" was the screens first full-length musical comedy colour animated feature made in 1941 (in a desperate attempt to smash the Disney monopoly). Max Fleisher also produced Gulliver's Travels (1939) And was responsible for the first animated Superman cartoon, along with Popeye the Sailor and Betty Boop. Highly influential on films like Antz and A Bugs Life. Hoppity the grasshopper must save his homeland from certain destruction by the humans and save his girlfriend Honey Bee from the clutches of the villainous C. Bagley Beatle. With a great musical score by Hoagy Carmichael this film will delight the whole family.
