Synopsis:
A rare British jazz film from the Sixties, "Living Jazz" (1961) was directed by a young Jack Gold (above right), now dead, who went on to make celebrated films such as 'The Naked Civil Servant', 'Aces High' and 'Goodnight Mister Tom'. 'Living Jazz' was the true story of a jazz band on the road in Fifties Britain and featured The Bruce Turner Jump Band, who included the late trumpeter and Grammy-winning jazz writerJohn Chilton, John Mumford (trombone), Collin Bates (piano), Jim Bray (acoustic double bass) and Johnny Armitage (drums).
