During a steamy sexual liaison, Jake Summer's lover is viciously murdered by a crazed serial killer, leaving her bereaved husband Chad in big financial trouble. Feeling guilty, Jake helps Chad claim the life insurance money. Only hard-nosed insurer L.T. Harvey has other ideas: the corpse is still missing... and no body means no pay-out. So Jake visits film-maker Vic Travis and they hit upon a brilliant but dangerous plan. They'll fake the next serial murder to create convincing video evidence and vital insurance proof. With seductive Sarah Holdings agreeing to play the victim, rehearsals begin. But so does the double-dealing.
