- Created by Fritz Freleng for the title sequence of the 1964 Blake Edwards/Peter Sellers comedy classic, the Pink Panther appeared in many theatrical cartoons, won an Academy Award for The Pink Phink (1964), and starred in five television series. The New Pink Panther Show provides him with a speaking voice for the first time.
