- 'Wish You Were Here' was released in September 1975 and went straight to number one in the UK album charts. The record debuted at number 12 in the US charts, and the following week hit the US number one spot. The album was to stay in the US charts for a year, and at the time of writing has sold over 13 million copies worldwide. The album has an enduring legacy, and this film tells the in-depth story of its production from the perspective of those who were there at the time. It features new interviews with the band - David Gilmour, Roger Waters and Nick Mason - as well as an archive interview with the late Richard Wright.

I've loved 'Wish You Were Here' as long as I can remember, so it was great to understand a bit more about where it came from and how it was all put together. Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters are articulate and engaging in their presentation so the hour soon whizzes by.
My only moan is the teaser of those iconic 4 notes which never does become a playing of the whole track at the outset of the album. This would have been a great way to finish off the whole story. Of course, you can then go and listen to it in whatever way you listen to your music.....
