Synopsis:
History of motor racing brings you the story of the names that were to change the direction of the Grand Prix and Sports Car racing history - the cars, the drivers, the characters, the big race glory and the tragedy. As with all sports in the events leading up to and throughout World War Two, the motor-racing scene had to survive a difficult time but post-war sees a great comeback with the old heroes battling with the new era of emerging talent. With a resurrection of the 158 Alfa Romeos, Frenchman JP Wimmille came on board and Villoresi and Nuvolari with Maserati. A story of the great drivers, their success, camaraderie and hardships, the post-war renaissance of racing was truly underway.
