Narendra (Rajeev Kapoor) comes to Gangotri, a small town at the foothills of Himalayas, to escape the madness of his industrialist father's world, where political corruption rules people's lives. In Gangotri, Narendra meets Ganga (Mandakini). This girl from the Himalayas symbolises purity, love and simplicity, and Narendra finds his soul mate. They marry and he returns to Calcutta with a promise to return and escort her to his family. Little does he know that during his abscence, his father has already fixed his marriage to Radha (Divya Rana) as she is the daughter of an ambitious politician friend of Narendra's father. Thus begins the struggle to win the battle against all odds for the sake of love and truth. Raj Kapoor's "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" is a love story set against the backdrop of moral decadance, social corruption and political intrigue - where morals, goodness and love have no meaning. - Actors:
