Johnny Thunder:
Johnny Thunder came to fame as a member of the Drifters in 1959 before going solo and recording the dance song "Loop De Loop", which reached number 4 in the US pop charts in 1963.

Johnny Tillotson:
In all, Tillotson chalked up 26 charted hits between 1958 and 1965 including "Dreamy Eyes", "Earth Angel", "Poetry In Motion", "Princess, Princess", "It Keeps Right On A-Hurtin" and "Heartaches By The Number".

The Crickets:
Usually when "the Crickets" are mentioned, it is in the same breath as Buddy Holly however they were also talented artists in their own right and after Buddy's tragic death in 1959, the group continued performing and making records.

The Diamonds:
The Diamonds made their name in conservative America with cover records that sold very well in markets where the original versions wouldn't be acceptable. Among their hits in 1956 were "Why Do Falls Fall In Love," "Church Bells May Ring," "Love, Love, Love" and "Ka-King-Dong".

Bobby Vee
He filled in at the world's first Buddy-less concert as a "fifteen year old" voice that knew all the words to all the songs. In the following thirty years plus Bobby Vee would go on to place thirty-eight songs in the Billboard top 100 charts.

The Platters:
The Platters were one of the top vocal groups of the 1950's, selling 53 million records and being among the first do-wop groups to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame (1990).

Ace Cannon:
Ace Cannon, saxophone virtuoso, recorded the instrumental smash "TUFF" in 1962 and since that time he has recorded 52 albums and 37 singles.
