- About to embark on a college road trip to a concert, Alan Parker (Jonathan Jackson) receives the devastating news that his mother has been rushed to hospital after suffering a massive stroke. His choice is clear - Alan skips the concert to hitchhike overnight to visit his mother. But the journey proves horrifying beyond his imagination as Alan encounters a night of terror, culminating with a mysterious stranger whose offered ride is a fateful choice...a choice between life and death.

As Stephen King adaptations go 'Riding The Bullet' has to be one of the weakest of recent years. There's no scares, no suspense and the story is pretty dull. As a short, or part of the 'Nighmares & Dreamscapes' series this may have worked, but as a feature length film it's a weak effort.
