- This is WWII the way the soldiers saw it - in colour. Only now, more than 50 years after the war, can these images be fully understood. At the time military leaders worried how the public would react to the disturbing images of the dead and wounded soldiers included in these colour films. The footage is explicit and persistent, but is included to give the viewer a safe vantage point from which to honour the soldiers and understand what they went through during this brutal era. All the footage has been researched from declassified sources throughout the world.
