Complete miniseries based on the novel by Fay Weldon. Ruth (Julie T. Wallace) is the classic dissatisfied, bored housewife, with a house in the suburbs, two children and an unfaithful husband, Bobbo (Dennis Waterman). When Bobbo eventually leaves Ruth for the seductive and enigmatic novelist Mary Fisher (Patricia Hodge), Ruth embarks on a sustained and brutally vindictive campaign of vengeance.
