The Complete Story: World War I (1965)

In anticipation of the 50th anniversary of the onset of World War I in 1964, CBS in the United States produced this award-winning documentary series on the history of the war. This three-volume collection contains eleven episodes, narrated by Robert Ryan, that take the viewer from the relatively carefree Europe at the turn of the century to the uneasy peace of 1918. The three volumes are: 'The War Begins', 'The Loss of Innocence' and 'The Tide of War Turns'.
