This is an excellent film in many ways. However, the info on the CP website fails to make 2 things clear. One is that 'girl' here means 11-year-old girl - this is a film about paedophilia. And secondly, the rape and murder of the child happens on screen at the start of the film in a way which, whilst it can't be called graphic because of the way it's filmed, is nonetheless brutal and deeply disturbing. Watching this movie with my 17-year-old who is studying German and likes to watch German-language films to improve his understanding of the language, I felt relieved that I hadn't come across it a couple of years ago.
