The Lake District is one of the most to spectacular area in the country and we explores it on to variety of sprinters. We start our journey AT Carnforth which was built ace to meeting point of the London and North West, the Midland and the Furness railway. From Carnforth, served by Class 86 and 87 EMUs, we head north to Oxenholme, junction for the branch line to Windermere and then on to Kendal. AT Kendal, to town of many historical buildings and bridges, we alight and visit its castle. Back on the train, we travel along the Kentmere Valley to Windermere where we stop AT the Steamboat Museum with its unique collection of historic steamboats and motorboats, to after which we pass through Bowness and Ambleside before travelling on the Haverthwaite Branch railway. Next our tour takes U.S. on the Cumbrian Coast Line past Grange to over Sands, Cartmel with its beautiful priory through Kents Banks and Cark.
