Set in a small Bavarian town (imagine a German Northern Exposure), Sebastian’s life is thrown into confusion when his older brother informs him that he killed their mother in childbirth. Believing himself to be responsible for her death and fearing a life in Purgatory, Sebastian seeks out the answer to immortality. Following a failed attempt at re-animation on a dead rabbit (the cause of his brother’s anger), and demystifying the notion that cats have 9 lives, Sebastian begins to look elsewhere in search of absolution from his sins. Overhearing a conversation at the tavern where he lives, Sebastian realises that if he can just find another woman for his father, then everything might be all right. But where will find one who is ‘Clever, Smart, Has a good ass, and Can give him the whole works’?
