- Four war-time archive documentary films showing the passing of the seasons in the countryside during 1941 and 1942. 'Winter on the Farm' was filmed in Dorset and demonstrates the hard work that has to carry on in difficult conditions. 'Spring on the Farm' was filmed in Herefordshire and shows the first signs of the harvest. 'Summer on the Farm' explores haymaking in Lancashire and Cheshire. Finally,'The Crown of the Year' looks at the harvest festival in East Norfolk.
