Pixar have made many brilliant films over the years, and putting their name to this very largely (with a mere 2 exceptions) self-indulgent and unoriginal collection of shorts is a mistake.

Many of the films are as cringe-worthy as the director's introduction that precedes them.

Pixar, please don't bother with collection 4!

I am convinced that somewhere in the advertising blurb the implication was that this film was enjoyable to watch and even a tiny bit positive.

Well, the lighting was terrific and the camera angles were pretty good ... The acting wasn't bad either - so what's the problem?

Plot, over use of flashbacks, general air of depression and fatalism, lack of apparent connection between the supposedly romantic leads ...

I couldn't finish watching it, with the only excitement being whether boredom or confusion was the most dominant factor.
