Walk with Me

Dorjes in the Dordogne.

(Edit) 23/01/2020

For the first minutes I was slightly in dread of a film full of monks sat around, or walking around in silence. This is what monks do. However what unfolded was a very heartwarming, uplifting story of Plum Village and it's resident monks and nuns who follow the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.

I personally find Which Nhat Hanh's teachings a bit restrictive, but each to their own. I cried at times, especially as how he explained to a young girl how to overcome the sadness of loosing her 'doggy'. Very moving. Highly recommended to anybody interested in spirituality and especially Zen Buddhism.

Mary Shelley

Deep, powerful Drama

(Edit) 17/05/2019

How true it all is, I know not. However I found this film to be a very powerful drama, and I certainly felt the pain and despair of the lead character, Mary Goodwin, later to marry and become Mary Shelly.

The extras were also interesting, and reminded me of how powerful writing can be as a form of therapy to offload ones stuff.

Highly recommended, especially those who enjoy powerful period drama.
